Student work of an imaginary winery located in Lorane, Oregon. Swallowtail Vineyard is an internationally recognized, award winning, boutique winery, with a team dedicated to the pursuit of “good times and fine wines.” Swallowtail is located 20 miles southwest of Eugene, Oregon in the town of Lorane, which is situated among the lush emerald hills of Siuslaw Valley. In 1887, the pioneers that settled Lorane made their living harvesting timber, raising livestock, farming and tending fruit orchards.
This is a series of the 2010 Arbor Collection featuring some of the major tree species of Oregon. Each label peels back and opens into an informational sleeve that may be detached, discussing the winery, its history and its values. In addition, the label gives a bit of information about the featured tree and it’s importance in the region.
